Lure Tank

The ICAST Lure Tank showcases the latest in hard and soft lures. Attendees witness how lures perform underwater as well as on top of water. There is also an underwater camera that displays an up-close view of what is happening beneath the surface on a large television monitor.

New Product Showcase and Preview Reception

The reception is open to registered buyers and credentialed media only

The Showcase offers buyers and members of the media a special opportunity to debut and preview hundreds of the next season’s innovations in fishing gear and accessories.

Only registered buyers and individuals with Media-Editorial badges are eligible to vote in the New Product Showcase. Exhibitors are not permitted in the Showcase during the voting period. The product with the most votes in each category is awarded "Best of Show" for that category and the product with the most votes overall wins the coveted ICAST 2014 "Best of Show" honors.

To meet the needs of buyers and exhibitors, the New Product Showcase competition includes awards in 21 product categories as well as the overall "Best of Show" award.

Voting begins on Tuesday, July 15, at 5:00 p.m. during the New Product Showcase Preview Reception and ends at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16. Buyers and media who vote have a chance to win one of three drawings for a $500 cash prize.

ICAST 2014 State of the Industry Breakfast

Breakfast attendees will hear from ASA President and CEO Mike Nussman and ASA Board of Directors Chairman Gregg Wollner, executive vice president, Rapala, about the challenges and opportunities facing the recreational fishing industry.

The State of the Industry Breakfast is being held Wednesday, July 16, 7:30 a.m. – 8:45 a.m., at the Orange County Convention Center, Hall B W311, third floor. Tickets are required.

State of the Industry Breakfast Guest Keynote Speaker

Lee Corso, is this year’s State of the Industry Breakfast keynote speaker.

Lee Corso, one of college football's most knowledgeable, opinionated and entertaining analysts, is a key member of ESPN's college football production team. Corso, who joined ESPN in 1987 after 28 years of football coaching experience at the college and professional levels, including 17 seasons as a head coach serves as a game analyst for Thursday night telecasts and as a studio analyst for College GameDay and the half-time and scoreboard shows.

Gregg Wollner, executive vice president of Rapala USA, and chairman of ASA’s Board of Directors, hosts our awards reception. During the reception, Wollner and ASA President and CEO Mike Nussman will present the New Product Showcase "Best of Show" awards. All ICAST and IFTD attendees are welcome to attend the awards reception.

Engaging New or Underserved Audiences in Recreational Fishing: Learn from Major Companies and Branding Experts
Presented by the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation

**Attendance is By Invitation Only**

The face of America is changing and emerging minority groups, such as Hispanics, who are projected to comprise 20 percent of the U.S. population by 2020, will have a significant impact on spending and revenue. During this invitation-only business session, recreational fishing and boating industry leaders will meet with a panel of marketing and branding experts from The Walt Disney Company, ESPN Deportes, Wal-Mart, Lopez Negrete Communications and Colle+McVoy who will focus on how to engage new and underserved audiences. Industry leaders will hear from about the steps these companies have taken to reach out to multicultural and underserved audiences and how it has benefitted their bottom lines. Now is the time for fishing and boating industry leaders to learn how to engage these new customers from experienced companies and branding experts. This is an invitation-only event.
